Michael Sheen Rising in 'New Moon'
"Frost/Nixon" star Michael Sheen is heading back to the big screen as a fictional bloodsucker in "New Moon," the sequel to the hit vampire film "Twilight"!
The actor -- who last ran with creatures of the night in 2003's "Underworld" -- is slated to play Aro, leader of Italian vampire clan the Volturi. Director Chris Weitz told London's Daily Mail that he "aggressively pursued" the actor for the role. "Michael's role is so important because he's the head of all vampires," he said. "Aro is, on the surface, a very gracious and friendly vampire, but beneath that he is a tremendous threat."
"New Moon" is currently filming in Canada, and is scheduled to take a bite out of theatres in November.
