Chris and Rihanna Back to L.A.

Controversial pop couple Chris Brown and Rihanna are back in Los Angeles after a Miami reconciliation. Now "Extra" is exploring why she took him back -- and what it could mean for the case against him.

Early this morning, the "Umbrella" starlet was spotted stepping off of a private jet in L.A. and into an SUV -- with Chris following behind her.

"Extra" correspondent AJ Calloway was in Miami this weekend. He said, "The two were spotted leaving here late last night and arrived in Los Angeles today." People magazine tells "Extra" that Chris and Rihanna spent the past few days reconnecting at Sean "Diddy" Combs' Miami mansion, where Chris was spotted catching waves on the Jetski. "They had been reaching out to each other," People magazine's rep dishes. "They really care about each other."

Saturday night, rumors flooded the net that Brown was out partying sans Rihanna -- and hanging out with Khloe Kardashian! Those reports turned out to be a case of mistaken identity.

The public and media have been speculating why Rihanna had a change of heart and has seemingly forgiven her beau. While some outlets speculate Rihanna doesn't want Brown behind bars, suggests to "Extra" that Chris could try and make a deal with the D.A. "Rihanna is willing to talk to the D.A. and try to get Chris Brown off. Chris is willing to plead no contest to domestic battery and in return get no jail time."

The District Attorney won't be able to ignore the photographic evidence obtained by TMZ that showed a swollen and bruised Rihanna. "The big things are the photographs... and what she told police at the scene and after," TMZ's Harvey Levin tells "Extra."

Chris is scheduled to face a judge in court on Thursday, March 5.
