Applegate: 'It's Important for Me to Have a Voice'
"Samantha Who?" star Christina Applegate chose the Emmys to make her first red carpet appearance since her breast cancer diagnosis -- and the "Samantha Who?" star opened up about her ordeal, telling "Extra" that she felt an obligation to be vocal on her recovery.
"It was really important for me to have a voice," Christina admitted. "I wasn't going to be quiet about this... I think I've helped a lot of people."
The 36-year-old told "Good Morning America" last month that the cancer was found through an MRI test as a follow-up to a biopsy she underwent last year -- and that she is currently cancer-free.
