Fashion's New Go-To Guy
His ultra-chic designs and fabulous fabrics have set him a cut above the rest, and now "Extra" introduces you to Robert Rodriguez.
"I love beauty," he says. "The one thing that really intrigues me is the woman -- and my whole goal in life is to make women look beautiful." Rodriguez started sketching at a very young age, and says, "Dior was a master. He's my idol, really."
Now, stars from Angelina Jolie and Oprah to Nicole Kidman and the Olsen twins can't get enough of his label, which just celebrated its fifth year. "We've created a collection that's very versatile, a collection that fits a lot of different lifestyles," says Rodriguez. "I think fashion should be for everyone, it doesn't matter if she's a size two or size ten."
As for what's hot right now, Robert says one of the biggest trends for spring is short shorts. He recommends paring them with a cropped jacket. "You can dress it down for day, or for an evening look."
