Melissa Etheridge Has 'Awakening' Three Years After Cancer
Three years after beating cancer, Melissa Etheridge has a new CD and a new outlook on life.
"It was an awakening to absolute joy of what our lives really are," Melissa explains.
Melissa's personal new effort, "Awakening," was written while she was going through chemotherapy treatments for breast cancer. The songstress also dropped a bombshell about her new song, "Threesome," revealing that it was written about her partner, Tammy Lynn Michaels!
"I don't want to have a threesome ever again!" she confessed. "It's rock and roll. I had to live the rock and roll lifestyle."
But she leads a very different life today as a doting mom to four kids, two with ex Julie Cypher and twins with Tammy Lynn.
Melissa explained that having a blended family is not difficult for the kids. But was it hard for her to come out?
"No, not at all," she said. "I'm a better person because I'm walking in my truth," something she thinks troubled Britney Spears needs to do.
"I would just tell her to go away by herself with a spiritual teacher and seriously go away," she explained. "I mean, you can go places where people aren't taking your picture and go and be still and listen to yourself, because yourself is trying to tell you something."
