Did Brandy Cause a Killer Collision in L.A.?
It's the story sending shockwaves through Hollywood, as news leaked Wednesday that superstar singer Brandy was involved in a deadly car crash just days after Christmas.
The tragic accident happened on L.A.'s busy 405 freeway Dec. 30, and “Extra's” obtained the official report.
It revealed that Brandy, who was driving a 2007 Land Rover, slammed into a car, which then set off a chain reaction collision.
The report also shows Brandy was not arrested and was not hurt, and “Extra” spotted her just days later at a Los Angeles gas station.
TMZ.com, who broke the story, reports that the real victim of the accident was a 38-year-old mother of one.
“Extra” has confirmed she died 10 hours later at an L.A. area hospital.
"There's no suspicion of alcohol or drugs involved in this collision by any of the parties involved," revealed California Highway Patrol Captain Steve Badilla.
For now, Brandy's car as well and the other vehicles remain impounded.
"The results of that analysis showed that all the vehicles involved in this collision were operating properly," Cpt. Badilla added.
The accident comes just as the Grammy winner was enjoying renewed success on the mega-hit show, “America's Got Talent.”
“Extra” has also uncovered this tragic twist: Brandy's “Moesha” co-star Lamont Bentley died in an accident on the very same freeway two years ago this week.
All is quiet for now at the gated community where Brandy lives, but the singer did tell “Extra” she wishes to publicly express her condolences to the family of the deceased.
We'll continue to bring you all the up-to-date details on this deadly and tragic incident.
