Only “Extra” was with Kim Kardashian at her KKW Beauty Pop-Up Shop at Westfield Century City. The reality star and beauty mogul chatted with “Extra’s” Mark Wright as she hosted an event for 50 of her lucky fans!
Kim dished to Mark about the video she posted this week of NBA star Tristan Thompson unblocking her on Instagram. The video, taken at her sister Khloe’s intimate birthday celebration, came after a rift between the family and Tristan due to a cheating scandal that broke just before Khloé and Tristan welcomed baby True.
Kim laughed, "I did [the video] just spur-of-the-moment. I thought about it, I was like, ‘Wait a minute, you have your phone out and this is really awkward 'cause you blocked me,' and, 'What’s up? We’re all in the same room again, can I get a follow, can I get an unblock at least?'"
Saying Tristan did not have a heads-up that she was going to make a video, Kim confessed, “I had to do it, I had to!”
The 37-year-old also shared the importance of always supporting her family. "I was just raised, you know, that blood is thicker than water and family first, and that’s also what keeps us sane," she said. "When we have those family dinners and we just get to hang out and be together through all the craziness that we’ve been through, we love each other and support each other, so it’s always just fun to be together and no matter what we’ll support each other, and we know that.”
Kim looks better than ever, working out daily and sharing images of her hot body with her social media followers. More recently, she has also taken to sharing her regimen with them.
"I know, I used to make fun of Kourtney and Khloé all the time for posting their workouts," she admitted, "but now, I’ve turned into them." She added, “I’ve gotten into better shape and am more confident, so I’m more comfortable sharing that, but for me, the gym is my must, [my] daily routine to keep my sanity."
As for the pop-up shop, Kim is ecstatic over its success. “It’s the first time I’ve ever done a pop-up shop, so I’m really excited that the turnout has been so amazing every day — it’s just been so great," she said. "This is, like, what I love. I love that the fans can come and actually smell my fragrance because before, it was just online. So this is the first time that you can get it in-store, and all of my beauty products.
Asked to reveal her favorite aspect of her pop-up success, Kim said, “I’m really a numbers person and I love to see all of the feedback, so it’s just been really interesting to see that digitally, certain colors can be our best sellers and then in-store, a whole different color scheme is our best seller.”
Kim’s KKW Kimoji Fragrances — cherry, peach, and vibes — launch July 14 at the KKW Beauty Pop-Up and at KKWFragrance.com on July 17. The KKW Beauty Summer Collection, featuring the KKW eye palette and lipsticks, launches in late July.
