Blake Painter, who appeared on two seasons of “The Deadliest Catch,” was found dead at his Oregon home, reports TMZ. He was 38.
Law enforcement says a friend called the police after not hearing from the fisherman. Authorities entered the home and discovered his body. They believe he had been dead for several days.
TMZ says unknown substances at the scene will be tested. Prescription pills were also at the home, but it is unclear if they played a role in his death.
Police do not suspect foul play, and autopsy and toxicology results are pending.
“The Deadliest Catch” fans know Painter as the captain of the F/V Maverick. He starred on Season 2 of the Discovery show and returned for several episodes of Season 3.
