On Tuesday, actor Luke Wilson was involved in a car collision in Pacific Palisades, California.
Wilson's car was clipped by a Ferrari, but he was able to leave the scene with no injuries, according to the Associated Press.
The driver of the Ferrari, Mark Gibello, was killed instantly after also colliding with a BMW, the driver of which was rushed to the hospital in serious condition. The collision caused the Ferrari to turn over.
Gibello’s passenger was pro golfer Bill Haas, who was in town for the Genesis Open. He survived. His manager, Allen Hobbs, said in a statement, “While Bill escaped serious injuries and has been released from the hospital, he is understandably shaken up and — more importantly — his deepest condolences go out to the host family during this tragic and difficult time.”
Haas has withdrawn from the Genesis Open and will return home to South Carolina, where he will recover.
Haas’ father revealed that Bill is suffering pain and swelling in one of his legs, but “was very fortunate.”
The police are trying to determine if speed was a factor in the crash.
