Rachel Lindsay’s Fiancé Bryan Abasolo Dishes on Wedding Plans, Plus: When Are They Getting Married?
Only “Extra's” social media correspondent Hannah Kahn sat down with Bryan Abasolo, who won the heart of Rachel Lindsay on Season 13 of “The Bachelorette.”
In Bryan's first solo interview since getting engaged to Rachel, he dished on their wedding plans and his life after the reality show.
Bryan got down on one knee and asked for Rachel's hand in marriage on “The Bachelorette,” which ended with Rachel screaming, "Yes!" Though they don't have an exact date, the wedding will be sometime this year. He said, "We haven't set anything yet. We definitely want to get married this year, and that's the plan. 2018, it's gonna happen.”
“The only thing is the details haven't been worked out," Bryan continued. "Rachel isn't much of a planner, so she'll kind of deal with it as it comes along, but, you know, right now, we're just taking our time."
Abasolo said his bride-to-be is "doing some wedding-type events, and she's kind of getting things churning in her brain a little bit as far as, you know, the flower arrangements and the cake."
Asked if he has a dream wedding in mind, Abasolo shared, “Whatever her dream wedding is, how about that?”
Could we see the couple get married on TV? He replied, “We would definitely be open to a televised wedding. We, right now, we enjoy showing everybody how in love we are... and I think that would be the culmination of our love story, or the beginning of it. I think we would definitely enjoy doing it on national television.”
Of the bridal party, the 37-year-old revealed, “Rachel may not even have bridesmaids, so we don't know. It might be a situation where, you know, each row is a specific group that's significant to her. It might be 'The Bachelor' girl row and then it might be her family, you know, the girls in her family.”
Bryan did break news about having two ceremonies, saying, “Two locations, maybe Dallas, maybe Colombia? We don't know. Colombia has come on to the radar recently.”
He also gave an update on his life, dishing, “It's good. We're so happy together. We got Copper, our dog, he's like an angel. We're just living in Dallas right now and moving forward with our careers.”
Rachel is a lawyer, and Bryan is a chiropractor. He said, “People may not know… I'm teaming up with a big company called The Joint, they have 400 clinics all over the country. So I'm really trying to promote the profession and just alternative forms of natural healing. And also getting the Dr. Abs lifestyle and wellness coaching off the ground. It basically encompasses that natural healing with chiropractic, but also fitness as well as natural supplementation, just bringing that into a synergistic lifestyle, just to make people look good, feel good.”
His fiancée may be busy working, but she is also making an appearance in promos for “The Bachelor Winter Games.” Bryan “will definitely not be on the show." He teased, "She definitely made a cameo for a specific elimination-type ceremony, so stay tuned to watch… It's other people from the past, and they, uh… There's just people from the past that come through and make surprise cameos, and it actually surprises the people that are competing.”
