Joe Gorga Gives Update on Joe Giudice’s Life in Prison

It was a family affair as “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars Teresa Giudice, her brother Joe Gorga, and his wife Melissa Gorga opened their new family restaurant, Gorga's Homemade Pasta & Pizza.

Only “Extra” was invited inside Thursday night!

While giving a sneak peek of the kitchen, Joe gave us an update on Joe Giudice, who is serving his 41-month prison sentence for bankruptcy fraud. “Joe's doing good, you know, he's doing his thing, he's working out a lot, looking great.”

The rest of the family is doing their thing — making delicious food at their new East Hanover, New Jersey, eatery, which they say is a tribute to family matriarch Antonia, who passed away in March.

Teresa is feeling “pretty good" about the new venture. Melissa added, “Today is the grand opening, so we'll see how everybody else feels about it.” Teresa wasn't worried, commenting, “Everyone's gonna love it. Everyone's gonna love our recipes — they're my mom's recipes, my mom's the one that taught me how to cook and my dad's an amazing cook also, so we wanna keep their legacy going, as you know my mom's not here with me anymore, she's here with me in spirit… This is what got us going to do this, you know. We just want to keep her legacy going.”

The family has been sticking together through everything, even after hitting a rough patch years ago. Teresa emphasized, “I mean, we've always gotten along, so this has gotten us even closer, and everything that happened with my mom has just brought the family… I'm happy that we are doing this we're doing this in memory of my mom, like, we want to keep her recipes going and out there and share them with the rest of the world.”

Melissa and Teresa recently came back from a girls' trip to Italy, where they filmed for “RHONJ.” Teresa showed off her incredible bikini body on social media, dishing, “The trip was good.” Melissa chimed in, “Yeah, it was nice. We got to get away, go to Milan — it's something we don't normally get to do together without our husbands, and we had a nice little sister-in-law trip.”

Teresa is keeping fit with yoga, something she took up while she served her own sentence in federal prison. “I do yoga — that's my passion. I'm certified now,” she said proudly.

Giudice also had a little message for our own Jersey boy, AJ Calloway, saying, “I want you to do yoga with me! I want you to move in places you've never moved before.”

Back in the kitchen, Teresa's brother Joe also got a little frisky over the food. When Teresa raved about the “unspeakable” food, Joe declared, “It's like an orgasm waiting to happen.”
