NeNe Leakes Goes from 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' to 'Real Husbands of Hollywood'!
"Extra's" AJ Calloway caught up with NeNe Leakes at "Extra's" H&M Studio in NYC, where the TV personality and actress chatted about "Real Husbands of Hollywood," “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” her new stint on E!'s "Fashion Police" and much more.
Dishing on her guest role on BET's reality TV parody "Real Husbands of Hollywood," Nene said, "I love those guys. Working with Kevin Hart, Nelly, Boris, they were so great… Kevin let me walk in and do whatever I wanted to do… you know, he's super short, coming right up about my Hello Kitty (pointing to her crotch). He's super tiny, love Kevin though."
NeNe called her and Kevin “the odd couple,” adding that she heard he's the troublemaker of the group like her, "I was like excuse me, I'm not the troublemaker… they need to clear that up."
When AJ asked, "Would you ever return to “RHOA"?" NeNe said, "It's a possibility. Look, being on 'The Housewives of Atlanta' was great for me. It opened up many doors and opportunities… I would go back at some point, but right now for Season 8, I want to take a break. I just want to step back. Chill out a minute, do a few other things…"
As for whether she's ever thrown a punch as a “Housewife," NeNe set the record straight. "Since day one, I've never had a physical fight on the show ['RHOA']. Ever." Nene explained, “My words are so ruthless, you feel slapped," and one of the reasons she left “RHOA" was "to start to physically fight each other, no, no, no, no, no. We're way too old for that."
As for her gig on E!'s "Fashion Police," NeNe said, "I absolutely love doing 'Fashion Police.' I've had my own clothing line at HSN. I love talking about fashion. I've had my own fashion mistakes myself, and then I have great moments. You'll never know unless you're out there trying different things." NeNe also revealed what the vibe is like on the "Fashion Police" set, saying, "I did it with Joan [Rivers] when Joan was alive and now that she's gone, it's a little bit of a different vibe, but I know Giuliana [Rancic], I know Melissa [Rivers], I know Brad [Goreski]. We all have great chemistry together, so I absolutely love doing 'Fashion Police.'"
