Tom Cruise took a moment to chat with “Extra’s” AJ Calloway at the premiere of his new film, “Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation,” on Thursday at the Vienna Opera House.
The 53-year-old actor set the record straight on whether he would reprise his role as Maverick in the upcoming "Top Gun 2." Tom shared, "If I can figure it out, if all of us can figure it out, it’d be fun to do, I’d like to fly those jets again, but we got to do all the jets practical, no CGI on the jets… I’m saying right now no CGI on the jets. If we can figure all that out, and the Department of Defense will allow us to do it, that would be fun.”
It was also the first time that Tom had seen the final edited version of “Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation." He revealed, "McQuarrie and I just finished this on Saturday… at 2 o’clock… we’re all just really going to enjoy this evening. We’re gonna be seeing all the final pieces that we did from Friday night to Saturday.”
"Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation" hits theaters July 31.
