Those fans of E.L. James’ erotic novel “Fifty Shades of Grey” expecting to see Christian Grey in all his naked glory may be a little disappointed with the big-screen adaptation.
Dornan explained, "You want to appeal to as wide an audience as possible without grossing them out. You don't want to make something gratuitous, ugly and graphic."
He added, laughing, that there "were contracts in place that viewers wouldn't be seeing, my, um... todger.”
The 32-year-old also talked about how unsexy shooting love scenes with Dakota Johnson, who plays Grey’s object of affection Anastasia Steele, really were. "Anyone who thinks actors get turned on doing sex scenes in films is mistaken. There are dozens of hairy men standing around, moving cables and lighting equipment. That's not sexy unless you're into being watched, which I'm not."
