The singer tweeted a photo of herself with what could be two black eyes, along with the message, “Emerging from hours of sleep. Still remiss if I should go outside, with this clonker I may be of questionable styling.”
She also assured fans that she’s starting to feel better, writing, “Thank you so much for all the thoughtful messages. I feel a bit woozy but a little better every day. Very happy to be in beautiful Australia.”
Getting hit with a pole by a backup dancer wasn’t the only newsworthy item to come out of Gaga’s show in New Zealand. Mother Monster seemed to fire back at Madonna, who recently took a shot at Gaga by performing a mash up of their similar songs “Express Yourself” and “Born this Way.”
"Things are really different than they were 25 years ago and that's what makes 'Born This Way' so relevant for me," she told the crowd. "We're just socially in a different place and it's OK — we don't have to all slice and hate each other anymore."
She added, "I don't even want to fight back, because it's more important to me to keep writing music." Watch the video!
