Sharon Osbourne Taking a Break from 'The Talk' After Collapsing
People magazine is reporting that Sharon Osbourne will leave her hosting duties on "The Talk" for a month following a collapse.
In a statement to the magazine, Osbourne confirmed she collapsed from exhaustion in Los Angeles on May 15 following a work trip to New York and Toronto.
Citing a diagnosis of "extreme exhaustion" by her doctors, Osbourne's reps say:
"Sharon has been advised and has agreed to take a month hiatus to recover fully from these recent events. Sharon would like to thank everyone at 'The Talk' for granting her this time off and to all friends, family and others for their incredible support."
Sharon's past health problems have included colorectal cancer, a double mastectomy she underwent three years ago after learning she was genetically predisposed to breast cancer, and a battle with pneumonia earlier this year.
