Mary-Kate Olsen Marries in NYC
According to a PageSix.com report cited by People, designer and TV icon Mary-Kate Olsen married Olivier Sarkozy in an intimate ceremony in NYC on Friday night.
Olsen, 29, and Sarkozy, 46, had been engaged for a year and had been a couple for three.
The nuptials apparently took place in a private home on E. 49th Street between Second and Third Avenues, with cocktails in the garden, dinner inside, and "bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes" for the crowd of around 50 to puff on all evening.
Sarkozy is a French banker whose half-brother is Nicolas Sarkozy, the onetime president of France. Nicolas Sarkozy performed his brother's first wedding, to children's-book author Charlotte Bernard. The couple were divorced in 2011, the year before Sarkozy and Olsen began dating.
