How Frank Underwood Feels About Presidential Candidate Donald Trump
Last night, “House of Cards” star Kevin Spacey took the stage to emcee the amfAR gala at Cannes Film Festival, where he slammed Republican candidate Donald Trump.
Spacey poked fun at Trump at Sharon Stone's expense, saying she couldn't make the gala because she was fighting the disease called “Donald Trump.” He said, "Foreign films contain two things Donald Trump hates the most: foreigners and reading.”
Kevin continued, "I don't think I could ever vote for a candidate who wasn't in favor of separation of man and face. Donald Trump would probably love it here, because there are so many casinos to bankrupt.”
Spacey also impersonated former president Bill Clinton, telling the audience, “I just want to tell you the state of the United States is a f**king mess, since I left.”
Playing the president is not new to Spacey, since he plays President Frank Underwood on “House of Cards.” Co-star Robin Wright recently made news for demanding the same pay as Kevin on the show. She told a room of activists in NYC, “I was looking at statistics, and Claire Underwood's character was more popular than [Frank's] for a period of time. So I capitalized on that moment. I was like, 'You better pay me or I'm going to go public.' And they did.” Watch!
