In an Instagram pic posted on Wednesday, Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, and their friend Malika Haqq were snapped enjoying cigars in the country. Khloé captioned, "Pablo was here! Cuba.”
The Kardashians reportedly arrived with cameras in tow since they'll be recording some of their Cuban adventures for their hit show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” Though many will tune in to the show to check out the highlights from their trip, one U.S. representative slammed their decision to go to the financially struggling country.
Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Florida) told People, "I know it's cool for celebrities to go to Cuba, but the Cuban people don't experience the glamorous Havana that is featured on social media. Far from photo shoots and fruity drinks, everyday Cubans experience a different, sad reality. Now, the Kardashians are parachuting into the island to tape their vapid TV show. Haven't the Cuban people suffered enough?”
While Kim is enjoying the sights of Cuba, her former bodyguard Steve Stanulis is breaking his silence on being fired by Kanye West. He told Daily Mail about rumors that he was flirting with Kim, "Even if I wanted to, I never got the opportunity because it happened so fast. The way he was situated (in the hotel corridor), maybe he thought I was there longer or walking up for a different reason. Maybe it was a misunderstanding, but I didn't have the opportunity. I had no intention on hitting on Kim Kardashian. I am happily married. I got enough problems in the world and three young kids, so that was not my intent.”
He added about the incident, "[West] came from around the corner and saw me walking towards the room. I turned around and said, 'Hey, Mr. West… how you doing?' He went to the door and slammed it. I thought that was okay. So I went back downstairs. I told the driver I had no idea what was going on. But then I was told I wouldn't be needed (the next day)."
Despite his story, TMZ reports that Stanulis was only being used as a temp by Kanye and Kim for the event.
