'Biggest Loser' Winner Too Thin? See What She Looks Like Today
“The Biggest Loser” winner Rachel Frederickson appeared on the “Today” show to talk with Savannah Guthrie about her dramatic weight loss and the controversy that followed.
The voice actress from L.A. started the show at 260 lbs., and dropped 155 for the win. The 5'4” contestant weighed 105 when she stepped on the scale at the finale earlier this month.
Frederickson didn't reveal her current weight, but said she's the “healthiest and most happy I've ever felt.”
She did admit that maintenance mode isn't easy. “Adding in socializing and family and work, and getting it all accomplished… it is a big balance.”
When Savannah asked if Rachel understood why people were so concerned after the finale, the reality star replied, “I dieted, I exercised, and did it healthy the whole way. I appreciate all the concern and can see where it comes from,” adding, “and there is the movie magic. It is over seven months, almost a year of my life, losing the weight.” See the Instagram photo below of Frederickson taken prior to her big reveal at the finale.
Past winners, like Season 5's Ali Vincent, speculated that Frederickson dropped extra pounds to win the show's $250,000 prize.
"I think she chose to win,” Vincent told People magazine. The former contestant, who once weighed 234 pounds, explained, "I know what it's like. I gave it every single thing I had. I was working out from 10 in the morning to 2 in the morning. Is that healthy? No! But it's a conscious adult decision to win. I weighed 122 lbs. [at the finale]. I took a drink of water and I gained weight back."
