Kim Kardashian Goes Solo at Met Gala — Where Was Kanye West?

Last night, reality star Kim Kardashian turned heads in a gold Versace dress at the star-studded 2018 Met Gala.

Though he's accompanied her for years, Kardashian's husband Kanye West, who has been making headlines for his support of President Trump, was nowhere in sight.

Regardless, it was a family affair for Kim, whose mom Kris Jenner and younger sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner were also in attendance.

Kim explained Kanye's absence on social media, tweeting, “Love you babe wish you were here with meeeeee but you're only finishing up 5 albums.” Her tweet was in response to his flame emojis to her Met gala outfit.

West is spending time in Wyoming, where he is working on his album. In a pic obtained by TMZ, Kanye was spotted on a stroll with a friend on a hillside road near Jackson Hole. He recently tweeted, “take a walk outside. Fresh air is healing.”

Before her trip to NYC, Kardashian reportedly made a trip to Jackson Hole. A source told People magazine, “Kim happily joined Kanye in Jackson Hole. She wants to be supportive so he can finish his album. The album has caused Kanye a lot of stress. He is a perfectionist and wants the music to be amazing.”

The insider continued, “Kim is absolutely concerned about Kanye. She likes being in Jackson Hole so she can keep an eye on his health. She wants to make sure he eats and sleeps enough. She doesn't want him to push himself beyond his limits. She wants a healthy Kanye.”
