Selena is killing it with her new music, nominated for a Billboard Music Award and going up against Taylor Swift for Top Female Artist. The duo is a staple at award shows lately, always pictured dancing. “I don't know a show without her by my side,” Selena said, adding, “It's so fun… when you're there to actually enjoy it and not take it too serious, it's really fun.”
The besties aren't placing any friendly wagers against one another. “We just like to celebrate, usually it's like, 'Where we eating after this?'”
Selena is focused and ready for her first show in Las Vegas May 6, “I'm really excited, to be honest, in the best possible way. I really haven't been able to sleep or eat anything, I mean I'm taking care of myself, but it's crazy when you really believe in something, it's so different.”
She is staying in tip-top shape and putting her all into this tour, “I really want to sing my ass off on this tour, so I've been doing an hour of vocal, I workout, I stretch, then basically go out on stage. I've been taking piano because it will be the first time I'm actually playing piano, singing for the first time.”
The 23-year-old is totally geeking out over some of the fashion, “Epic… I'm so excited... it's amazing too!” The songstress revealed she collaborated with Karl Lagerfeld. “I think I cried, I think I saw the costume, I just sat there, it was one of those 'Sex in the City' moments. I just wanted to stare at my clothes.”
She is also showing off her sexy side, “It's kind of got that vibe to it… throughout the show you'll see different sides of who I am.” The starlet added, “This is the best I have ever felt.”
That's not all. Selena is a featured artist in the Coca-Cola Share a Coke and a Song campaign, and she's building a media empire by producing projects. “My mom and I are producing three projects together, which is so much fun because one of them we've had for five years, to now see it develop and working with Netflix is really fun… I love film, I love TV, I love being on a set… I want to have my mark in that world.”
