Nick Cordero’s Wife Amanda Kloots Says ‘He’s Not Done’
Amanda Kloots' prayers have been answered!
On Friday, Kloots shared a positive update on her husband Nick Cordero, who is fighting for his life weeks after contracting COVID-19. She shared on her Instagram Story, “So one of the things that I have learned about this whole process is that the land of the ICU is one step forward, two steps back. And that's kind of what happened to us in these last 24 hours.”
“I am happy to say that it looks like we're on a step forward again,” Kloots continued. “It's been another roller coaster but this one goes out to the doctors and nurses at Cedars-Sinai, the power of prayer and the power of energy and support. Positivity is, I'm sorry, unsurmountable.”
Along with thanking everyone for “lifting him up,” Kloots emphasized, “He is not done. He's not done.”
Earlier this week, Amanda revealed that Nick's health was “going downhill,” saying, “Nick has had a bad morning. Unfortunately, things are going downhill at the moment, so I am asking again for all the prayers, mega-prayers, right now."
She added, “Please cheer and please pray for Nick today, and I know that this virus is not going to get him down. It's not how his story ends, so just keep us in your thoughts and prayers today."
Kloots' sad update came just days after she celebrated “a small win” with Nick. Though he was still dealing with a lung infection, she noted, “They pulled out less secretions today from Nick's lungs than the last time they cleaned him out, so that is great news just because anytime they go in there and there's less than before is good.”
“I'm going to take that and run with it for tonight, and I'm going to celebrate that small win,” Amanda went on.
Last week, Amanda revealed that Nick had woken up from his medically induced coma. She told “Extra's” Renee Bargh that his eyes were open and tracking. She elaborated, “Yes, so early signs of being awake are exactly that, tracking. So when we ask him a question, if it's a yes, he looks up, if it's a no, he looks down. He's doing that regularly.”
Nick was admitted to an L.A. hospital in late March after testing positive for COVID-19, and Amanda said, “The doctor told me yesterday, 'Amanda, not too many people wake up after four weeks.' He said this is a great day.”
Some of the complications Cordero has faced while battling the coronavirus include septic shock, "mini-strokes," and a leg amputation.
