Bunny Fight! Holly Madison Memoir Reveals Bitter Feud with Kendra Wilkinson
Apparently, “The Girls Next Door” were far from one big happy bunny family.
Holly Madison, who was Hugh Hefner's No. 1 girlfriend on the show, is opening up in a new memoir about her life at the Playboy mansion.
In “Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny,” Madison details her feud with fellow girlfriend Kendra Wilkinson.
The trouble seemed to start when Kendra moved into the mansion. Madison describes her initial impression of Wilkinson as “platinum and plastic,” with an enviable sense of “entitlement.”
Holly claims Kendra, then 19, lied to Hef about her past as a stripper in San Diego, instead telling the mogul she was a college student.
When Hefner asked Wilkinson to move in, the teen requested the “really big room.”
"Here was a rookie who had just gone all the way with an old dude, and her only concern was how big her room was going to be," Madison said.
Life in the mansion was hard on Kendra, who Holly described as a “caged animal.”
"At 19 years old, Kendra was stuck with a 9 p.m. curfew, a 78-year-old boyfriend and stricter rules than she had ever had at home... she was just another blonde girlfriend – and life at the mansion wasn't all she imagined it to be."
What really sent Holly over the edge was when Wilkinson did an interview after the E! show ended, and claimed she wasn't friends with Holly or another girlfriend, Bridget Marquardt.
Holly sent Kendra a text calling her the “fakest person” she had ever met. Wilkinson responded, "WHO ARE YOU???? I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU! WE WERE NEVER FRIENDS. IT WAS ALL JUST WORK."
Afterward, Holly deleted Wilkinson from her phone. “Kendra and I haven't spoken since, and I have to say, I don't miss her."
“Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny” hits bookstore shelves on June 23.
