More Alarming Details About Las Vegas Shooter Stephen Paddock
On Sunday night, Stephen Paddock, 64, went on a shooting rampage, killing 59 people and wounding more than 400 in Las Vegas.
Paddock broke two windows in his 32nd-floor suite at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino before firing shots at innocent victims, who were attending the Route 91 Harvest festival.
Paddock had checked into his Strip-view hotel suite on Thursday. After he was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police recovered at least 23 firearms in the hotel room.
Law enforcement also discovered 19 firearms, loads of ammunition, explosives, and electronics at his home in Mesquite, which is about 75 miles from Las Vegas.

View StoryTMZ reports Paddock purchased some of his guns from Guns & Guitars, which is near his home. The store told the site, "All necessary background checks and procedures were followed. He never gave any indication or reason to believe he was unstable or unfit at any time."
On Monday, reporters spoke with Paddock's brother Eric, who was “horrified” by the news. Eric said, "He had a couple of guns but they were all handguns, legal. He might have had one long gun, but he had them in a safe.”
Eric revealed that his brother was an accountant, who became a “multimillionaire” from real estate investing. He went on to say, "He was a wealthy guy, playing video poker, who went cruising all the time and lived in a hotel room.”
Law enforcement is also planning to question Paddock's girlfriend Marilou Danley, who is currently in Japan. It is not believed, at this time, that she had any connection to the massacre. Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo told NBC, "We have had conversations with her and we believed her, at this time, not to be involved. But obviously that investigation will continue. She was not with [Paddock] when he checked in. We have discovered he was utilizing some of her identification."
It has been reported that Paddock wired $100,000 to Danley's home country, the Philippines, just last week.
Court records also reveal that Paddock sued the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Resorts five years ago, claiming that he suffered injuries after he slipped and fell at the Las Vegas Strip hotel. The case was dismissed in 2014.
