Bizarre Internet Conspiracy Theory Claims Katy Perry Is Really JonBenét Ramsey

The web is buzzing over the latest conspiracy theory, this one involving Katy Perry and slain child beauty pageant contestant JonBenét Ramsey.

In a video, YouTuber Dave Johnson argues that JonBenét's 1996 murder was a hoax and that she had to sacrifice her name to become a star. Johnson emphasized that JonBenét and Katy look similar and superimposed their faces over each other. He went on to say that the parents are the same people, just with less weight and hair, in spite of the fact that Ramsey's mother Patsy died of ovarian cancer in 2006.

He said, "JonBenét Ramsey became Katy Perry. That's a fact.”

Another YouTuber, Jungle Surfer, also believes the conspiracy theory, saying, "You know, the eyebrows don't change much on a person. You're born with your eyebrows. They're very close, very close indeed, aren't they?”

A past comment Katy's made about JonBenét is also being used as so-called evidence. Katy was quoted as saying, "Not that I was one of those stage kids. There was no JonBenét Ramsey inside of me waiting to burst out.” A YouTube user VK33 said about the quote, "The Illuminati always puts out clues hidden in plain sight.”

V33 also pointed out that both Katy and JonBenét knew the lyrics to “God Bless America” and claimed that some of Perry's music videos focus on the idea of rebirth.

Prior to this conspiracy theory, many fans have observed that Katy resembles other famous figures, including Taylor Schilling, Zooey Deschanel, and Emily Blunt.
