Pamela Anderson & Jon Peters Split 12 Days After 'I Dos'
Until Feb. do they part.
Just 12 days after exchanging "I dos" in a secret ceremony, actress Pamela Anderson, 52, and producer Jon Peters, 74, are calling it quits.
People magazine reports Anderson announced their separation via statement to THR. In it, she said, "I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union. We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another. Life is a journey and love is a process. With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalization of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process. Thank you for respecting our privacy."
Anderson posted her first photo herself and Peters as man and wife a mere eight days ago. The two had originally dated when she was 19 after meeting at the Playboy Mansion.
After their out-of-nowhere nuptials in January, Peters told THR, "Pamela has never seen her full potential as an artist. She has yet to shine in a real way. There is much more to her than meets the eye, or I wouldn't love her so much. There are beautiful girls everywhere. I could have my pick, but — for 35 years — I've only wanted Pamela. She makes me wild — in a good way. She inspires me. I protect her and treat her the way she deserves to be treated."
Anderson was previously married to rocker Tommy Lee (1995-1998), Kid Rock (2006), and Rick Solomon (twice — 2007 and 2013). She was recently linked to French soccer great Adil Rami.
Peters, a hairdresser-turned-movie impresario, is one of old-school Hollywood's most successful producers, including producing his former lover Barbra Streisand's 1976 version of "A Star Is Born." He was married to actress Lesley Ann Warren (1967-1974), producer Christine Forsyth-Peters (1987-1993), and two other times — all of which ended in divorce — prior to his marriage to Anderson.
