Andy Cohen on 'RHONY's' Scary Boat Ride, Plus: His Dream Guest Star on ‘Love Connection’
Andy Cohen is back helping people find love as the host of FOX's “Love Connection,” but it is his “Real Housewives” franchise that has everyone talking today.
“Extra's” Terri Seymour spoke with Andy at the FOX TCA red carpet, where he broke down what happened after cameras stopped rolling on what may go down as the most traumatic moment in “Housewives” history when the ladies found themselves on a “boat ride from hell.”
The footage aired Thursday night, showing the women screaming for their lives. Andy explained, “Ya know, they really had to cut that anchor… no joke… you saw there was furniture going all over the place. It was not funny, it was very serious. Everyone's kinda having a fun time with watching it and stuff, but it could have been more serious so I'm so thankful that everyone was safe in the end.”
“Housewives" star Luann de Lesseps has just checked out of rehab for a second time since her drunken arrest in Florida. While Andy has not spoken to her, he commented, “I'm so happy that she's… trying to better herself. You can only support her and I always support Luann.”
As for the news that Carole Radziwill is leaving the show, Andy said, “Were gonna miss her.” Was he surprised by her decision to leave? He answered, “Uh, yes and no… She's been on six years… She had a great run.”

View StoryDrama aside, don't expect to see any of the women making an appearance on “Love Connection.” He said, “We want to give everyone a chance to find love, not just Housewives.”
Of the third season of “Love Connection,” Andy teased what he said will be “more romance, a lot of bad behavior, and more happy endings.”
Andy wants to use the show to help his good friend John Mayer find love, saying, “I want to see him on the show — he's a great guy!” We'll have to wait and see if that happens!
