John David Duggar has a new girlfriend, Abbie Burnett. As the Duggars themselves would put it, they are "in a courtship."

The reality TV family made the announcement on their website, with John's parents Jim Bob and Michelle saying about their son, “We've watched him faithfully pray, wait, and trust God for the right girl to come along! Now, a beautiful relationship has blossomed between the two of them.”
The happy couple themselves are speaking out together in a video, revealing that while they've been friends for some time, they connected recently when he flew to a church event in her home state of Oklahoma. John confessed, “We fell in love very quickly. It's been a wonderful journey thus far.”
And while they have yet to announce any engagement news, they are asking fans to keep an eye on their relationship by watching “Counting On” on TLC.
