R. Kelly Facing 11 New Felony Sex Abuse and Assault Charges

R. Kelly will be back in court June 6 to face 11 new charges involving an underage girl, The Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Cook County prosecutors filed the felony charges on Thursday, including four counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, two counts of criminal sexual assault by force, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse against a victim between 13 and 16 years old.

The star could do serious prison time if convicted. Aggravated criminal sexual assault is considered a Class X felony with a mandatory sentence of 6 to 30 years per charge.

The crimes are alleged to have happened in January 2010. The singer's attorney, Steve Greenberg, told The Sun-Times that he hadn't seen the filings yet.

Greenberg noted, “We'll see what the charges are, and we'll proceed accordingly. I know this much: It's old. They're allegations from years ago.”

The singer is out on a $1-million bond after being charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in February. He pleaded not guilty.

After his release, R. Kelly sat down with "CBS This Morning's" Gayle King for an explosive interview. She grilled him over Lifetime's “Surviving R. Kelly” documentary about his alleged victims. He claimed, "They was describing Lucifer. I'm not Lucifer. I'm a man. I make mistakes, but I'm not a devil, and by no means am I a monster."
