Eric Trump Calls RNC Convention ‘Another Fun, Wild Adventure for the Trumps’
Last night was another big one for the Trump family at the RNC as Donald Trump Jr., and younger sister, Tiffany Trump, delivered well-received speeches. Donald Trump's third child, Eric, slated to speak tonight, spoke to “Extra's” AJ Calloway on the convention floor earlier this morning. He said, "I'm excited. Look at this place — this is pretty cool, right?”
The 32-year-old gushed over his siblings, saying, "They're feeling great. Don did a great job, Tiffany did a great job, and Ivanka's gonna do a great job.” He smiled, saying, “Another fun, wild adventure for the Trumps.” Ivanka is scheduled to take the RNC stage Thursday night.
On Tuesday, Tiffany took to the podium to praise her dad, saying, "His desire for excellence is contagious. He possesses a unique gift for bringing that trait out in others starting with those closest to him. He's always helped me be the best version of myself. By encouragement and by example, he motivates me to work my hardest and stay true to who I am and what I believe. That's what he does. He draws out the talent and drive in people."
She reflected how the Republican nominee would write positive notes on her report cards when she was a child. She commented, "Contrary to what you might expect from someone who places an emphasis on results, my dad's comments referred often to the sentiments expressed by my teachers on how I acted in and out of the classroom, not just even focusing on the letter grades themselves. Donald Trump has never done anything halfway, least of all as a parent."
The 22-year-old also opened up about how Donald was her shoulder to cry on when she was lost someone “very dear." She said, "I feel the measure of a person is revealed in their darkest times. For me the measure of a parent is based on how they support and bolster you when you're down. Without his unwavering support and care for me during such a challenging time, I don't know how I would have made it through."
While Tiffany gave a glimpse of a side to her father that is rarely seen publicly, Donald Jr. decided to focus his energy on blasting Hillary Clinton. He told the crowd, "If Hillary Clinton were elected, she would be the first president who couldn't pass a basic background check. It's incredible!” Using one of Hillary's lines of attack against her, he continued, "Hillary Clinton is a risk Americans can't afford to take."
