Stars Give Back: Carrie Underwood’s Carnival Contribution to Military Families
Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year and seven-time Grammy award-winning country music superstar Carrie Underwood recently celebrated the U.S. arrival of one of the newest, largest, and most innovative ships, the Carnival Vista, at an overnight event in NYC.
During the event, Carrie performed a private concert for more than 700 military families associated with Operation Homefront, which aims to build strong, stable, and secure military families. The ship was also christened by Miss USA Deshauna Barber, the first woman serving in the U.S. military to hold the title, who serves as the ship's godmother.
Along with singing at the concert, Carrie helped raise funds with the sale of commemorative dog tags on her Storyteller tour. During her tour, she met with a number of military families who told stories of strength, courage, and spirit.

Carnival Cruise Line has been a big supporter of the U.S. military for many years and carries more active and retired military than any other cruise line.
