Dennis Shields’ Estranged Wife Speaks Out After His Sudden Death

After his unexpected death at 51 of a suspected overdose, Dennis Shields' estranged wife Jill says she is heartbroken.
In a statement to People, Shields said, “We are all heartbroken. Dennis was, and will always be, the love of my life. His spirit lives on in our children. Please respect our family's privacy at this time.”
Dennis and Jill were married for 26 years, but separated two years ago. He then began an on-and-off relationship with “Real Housewives of New York” star Bethenny Frankel.
Frankel has not commented on his passing.
