Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs Are Officially Divorced
“Frozen” star Idina Menzel and actor husband Taye Diggs have finalized their divorce.
Although Diggs and Menzel announced their separation last December, according to TMZ, Diggs just filed the divorce petition in November.
The site reports the two must have already worked out the settlement in the past year because the divorce was quickly finalized on December 3.
The two were married for 10 years and have a 5-year-old son, Walker.
The “Murder in the First” actor opened up to Redbook magazine last June about his split with Menzel. "I'd be lying if I said there weren't times when I thought, 'Oh, man, people are going to trip out [if we split].' There weren't a lot of couples like us in the theater community -- and I know there aren't a lot of performers as talented as she is... and then you have the whole mixed [race] thing. It was easy for people to root for us."
Menzel has had recent success with her Disney film “Frozen” and its Oscar-winning song "Let It Go.” The Tony winner is also starring in the Broadway hit “If/Then.”
