What Mark Wahlberg’s Family Likes to Do with His Long Hair
On Thursday night, actor Mark Wahlberg stepped out for the AFI Fest premiere of his film “Patriots Day” in Hollywood, where he dished on his long hair.
Wahlberg is growing out his hair for the next “Transformers” movie. When “Extra's” Renee Bargh complimented his look on the red carpet, Mark said, “It doesn't make me feel younger… It's just too long.”
Some of Mark's family members are having fun with his longer 'do at his expense. He revealed, “My wife put a ponytail on me and my son ripped it out from behind.”
The premiere was exactly a week before Thanksgiving. As for what he'll bring at the table on the holiday, Mark dished, “My appetite. It's my favorite holiday. This year I finished 'Transformers' and I was on a very strict diet and regimen for five and a half months. Now I can eat and drink whatever I want.”
Fun aside, Wahlberg also spoke on the emotions he felt while shooting “Patriots Day,” which is based on the Boston Marathon bombings. He shared, "It was difficult. You're reenacting this horrific tragedy. You're in Boston and everybody knows somebody who was directly affected."
"If you think about what happened and as soon as the explosions went off people ran towards the problem they didn't run away from it. People rallied together as a community and it's really inspiring for the rest of the world to see that,” the Boston native continued.
Mark was joined on the red carpet by co-stars Alex Wolff, Kevin Bacon, Michelle Monaghan, Themo Melikidze, Michael Beach, and James DuMont on the closing night of AFI Fest, sponsored by Audi.
“Patriots Day” hits theaters December 21.
