Zoe Saldana Gives Health Update After Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis Diagnosis
Over the weekend, actress Zoe Saldana opened up about her health after the Marvel panel at Comic-Con.
“Extra's” Renee Bargh caught up with Zoe, who recently announced she is suffering from Hashimoto's thyroiditis, an autoimmune disease. Despite it all, she said she “feels great.”
The mother of twin boys, Cy and Bowie, revealed she wasn't planning on disclosing her condition. “Sometimes, it's good to share little things of what your struggles are. It's not impeding my quality of life. It just means I have to be a little more conscientious of how I live and what I put into my body because I have this predisposed situation.”
Aside from promoting her new movie “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” with cast mate Karen Gillan, Zoe is keeping her eye on the presidential race, giving Hillary Clinton's running mate, Tim Kaine, a thumbs-up. She gushed of his speech in Florida over the weekend, “He was amazing. I really liked all of the things he was saying, and he complements her quite nicely.” She watched the RNC, saying, “I did my due diligence” and is looking forward to the DNC.
As for “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2,” Zoe and Karen promised a bigger, badder, funnier movie when it opens May 5, 2017.
