U2 Postpones Tour While Bono Recuperates
U2's North American leg of their 360 Tour has been postponed, stemming from frontman Bono's emergency back surgery Friday, MTV.com reports.
The 50-year-old singer was injured while preparing for the group's tour in Germany. "Bono will spend the next few days there, before returning home to recuperate,'' reads the band's statement. "Once his condition has been assessed further, a statement will be made regarding the impact on forthcoming tour dates.''
The first stop on the tour was supposed to be June 3 in Salt Lake City, but now that has been postponed. The band was scheduled to then play in Anaheim, California, on June 6 and 7, followed by Denver on June 12 and Oakland, California, on June 16.
No word on whether other dates have been canceled. For updated information, visit U2.com.
