JonBenét Ramsey Murder Case: Brother Burke’s Interrogation Tapes Resurface
It has been 20 years since JonBenét Ramsey, 6, was found murdered in her Colorado home.
Her brother Burke Ramsey, who was just 9 at the time, was among those interrogated during the investigation.
Now, for the first time, the world will hear those tapes.
Dr. Phil McGraw tells In Touch, “After the murder, Burke was interrogated three times. Once when he was 9, twice when he was 12 — those tapes disappeared.”
The talk show host has obtained the tapes and plans to air them as part of a three-part interview with Burke starting on September 12.
This is the first time Burke has spoken publicly about his sister's death.
“For the first time in 20 years, we're going to hear from the other person that was in the house the night [JonBenét was murdered],” said Dr. Phil.
He added, “Some of the things that will come to light are astounding to me. Burke is very compelling. It's going to be very difficult to look away.”
CBS will also take a closer look at the cold case with a new six-part docuseries called “The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey,” set to air in September.
