Erika Girardi, the newest member of Bravo's “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” spent time with “Extra's” AJ Calloway at our H&M Studios in Time Square, where she opened up about her friend Yolanda Foster.
Yolanda had a huge impact on the singer joining the show. Erika revealed, “I got pulled into the show by Yolanda.”
Foster, who has been struggling with Lyme disease since her diagnosis 2012, is also dealing with her divorce from David Foster. On the topic of Foster's current state of mind, Erika shared, “I just saw her on Sunday… She's good, you know it's one step a time, it's one step at a time, she's going through a lot, she's a tough lady and she's going to be fine.”
Erika is also holding her own amongst the other ladies on the series, even getting into a heated argument with them in a promo over the controversy surrounding Yolanda's illness. While some are saying Foster has Munchausen syndrome, Girardi reiterated, “Yolanda Foster is suffering from Lyme disease. I know this to be true. Who would sit in a bed all day?… Her two daughters are just killing it in the modeling world, she has a lot to be out and be happy for. It hurts when you hear those things.”
Girardi continued, “I think that's kind of been resolved and I hope because I like the woman that I'm on the show with and I hope that they see some of those things were said in error.”
Despite all the drama, the 44-year-old is having a good time so far on the show. “There is obviously a certain amount of drama that goes on with these shows, but I think it's great — so far, so good.”
"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Tuesday nights on Bravo.
