'All in the Family' Star Jean Stapleton Dies at 90
Jean Stapleton, best known as Archie Bunker's long-suffering wife Edith in “All in the Family,” died at her home in NYC on Friday. She was 90.
According to the L.A. Times, Stapleton died of natural causes.
In addition to “Family,” Jean's career also included many roles on stage and film. She originated the part of Mrs. Strakosh in “Funny Girl” on Broadway.
Stapleton is survived by her children Pamela and John Putch.
