Cuba Gooding Jr. Files for Divorce from Wife After Over 20 Years of Marriage

Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. has taken a big step to end his marriage with Sara Kapfer, his wife of 22 years.
Two years after Sara filed for legal separation, Cuba is asking for a divorce, TMZ reports. In his divorce filing, Cuba is requesting joint legal and physical custody of their daughter, Piper, 10.
The 49-year-old is also willing to pay spousal support to Sara, but wants all the money that he earned after the separation to be his.
The pair, who were high school sweethearts, dated for seven years before they wed in March 1994. They have three children together — Spencer, Mason, and Piper.
Cuba and Sara were last spotted together at a Golden Globes after-party earlier this month.
Last year, Cuba opened up about his relationship with Sara on "The Steve Harvey Show," saying, "Listen, you know how things happen. Things happen, you grow up… I took my wife on a date the other day. Took her to see a movie the other day. Yeah. We got kids, man. We got to keep this together, strong, you know? That's how I see it.”
