Cuba Gooding Jr. Responds to Goldman Family’s Criticism of 'The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story'

"The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” is a ratings winner for FX, but it has been hard on the family of the victims.

Ron Goldman’s family recently slammed the miniseries for the lack of focus on Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson, the murder victims. On the set of "Steve Harvey," Goldman's father Fred told "Extra," "So far, Ron and Nicole are footnotes. They were nothing more than dead bodies at the beginning of the show.”

On Tuesday's episode of "Steve Harvey," Fred also opened up about an incident where he was offered a gun to kill O.J. He said, "I had a man offer me a high-powered rifle he said that was not traceable... so I could take him out."

“Extra’s” AJ Calloway recently spoke to Cuba Gooding Jr., who plays O.J. on the show, about the criticism. He responded, “The only reason why we didn't focus on Ron or Nicole was out of respect."

AJ also caught up with Sterling K. Brown, who plays Christopher Darden, at our H&M studios, where they chatted about his uncanny resemblance to the prosecutor.

A new episode of "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” airs on Tuesday.
