Sugar Bear's First Words on Mama June's Child Molester Scandal

Mama June is reportedly dating child molester Mark McDaniels, and her ex, Sugar Bear, is fighting mad.

June has denied dating the convicted pedophile, but has been pictured with him in recent months. Some photos included Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, June's 9-year-old daughter with Sugar Bear.

The paparazzi caught up with the Sugar Bear, real name Mike Thompson, who split with June in September.

While walking to his truck, he told the camera crew he was upset about June having McDaniels around Alana.

Meanwhile, Sugar Bear's friend, Tony Lindsay, who appeared on the first season of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” told MailOnline.com that Shuggie is quite upset, saying, “Mike is all over the place and is distraught that his daughter has had contact with a sex offender.”

He continued, “He wants her out of that environment and knows the only way to do that is to get custody.”

Lindsay said a custody battle could be tough for Sugar Bear because he is now destitute and borrowing money from friends.

While reports of June and McDaniels' relationship are troubling, the Dekalb County Sheriff's Dept. told TMZ that legally speaking, the supposed couple has done nothing wrong, and that McDaniels is not prohibited from hanging around June or her minor children; Alana, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 14, and Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon, 15.
