Kim Kardashian Speaks Out About Bruce Jenner Ahead of His Tell-All Interview
Kim Kardashian tells us that when Bruce Jenner's exclusive tell-all with Diane Sawyer airs on Friday night, the former Olympian will be watching with his family by his side.
“Extra's” special correspondent Angie Martinez spoke to Kim on Friday as she was honored at “Variety's Power of Women” luncheon in New York.
The reality star spoke for the first time about the highly anticipated interview with her former stepdad, revealing she is jetting out of NYC to return to L.A. to watch the “20/20” special with her famous family.
“The family is watching all together with Bruce, so I'm literally rushing out right after this to catch a flight home so they can wait and watch it with me,” she said.
Kim also set the record straight on recent headline rumors that Jenner's reported transition from man to woman has caused a family feud.
“As a family we always support each other 100 percent and I know that I see things online… that there is this divide and this one doesn't support this and this one doesn't support this, and you know, it's all ridiculous and it's all rumors, and we love everyone in the family and we support everyone equally. So we're excited to watch tonight and I'm excited for Bruce to tell his story to Diane Sawyer.”
Kim just returned from a trip to Armenia and Israel with Kanye, where they had baby North baptized. “That was really amazing. We were in Armenia, so it was just an hour and a half flight to Jerusalem, and I thought what better place, because Jerusalem has an Armenian quarter, so we baptized her in the oldest Armenian church in Jerusalem, and it felt so holy and so amazing, it was a really special experience.”
The family was followed by photographers throughout their whole trip overseas as in their everyday life, something Kim says North at almost 2 years old is adjusting to. “She understands it, and you know Mason and Penelope see it, and we are all together. If anything ever feels scary or there are too many people, we take her out of those situations, but everyone has been very respectful and gives us space, especially if we are with her.”
Mrs. Kardashian West, who graces the cover of Variety as part of their Power of Women series, is being honored for her work with The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
“I'm excited and I'm mostly excited that the charity I've worked with for so many years is getting a little bit of attention, Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, they deserve it.”
