Feeling 'Alright'! CYN Talks Music, Fame, and Working with Katy Perry

Only our Senior Music Correspondent Adam Weissler sat down with rising star CYN as her new single “Alright” continues to gain lots of attention, and new fans.

“Alright” serves as the follow-up to CYN's previous releases, "Together" and “Only with You,” which she co-wrote with producer extraordinaire Felix Snow (who has also worked with Selena Gomez, Kiiara, and Terror Jr.).

“Only with You” was an early standout track for the young artist, following a chance meeting with Unsub Records Founder Katy Perry, who instantly fell in love with the talented pop star's voice and her keen ability to craft a perfect pop song. CYN signed with Perry's label in 2016.

Born to a humble, middle class home in outside of Detroit, CYN (née Cynthia Nabozny) moved from Chicago to Los Angeles two years ago, and spent much of last year working hard, writing and recording new material.

Adam says of CYN, " Exciting stuff – she is a fully formed star about to take over the airwaves and rise to the top with that special mix of talent and spark."
