Barbara Bush Released from Hospital, George H.W. Bush Moved Out of ICU
Former First Lady Barbara Bush, 91, has been released from the hospital after her nearly one-week stay.
On Sunday, family spokesperson Jim McGarth shared in a statement, "Mrs. Bush was given the option of being discharged today, but has elected to remain at Houston Methodist Hospital one more evening to continue her recovery and to be closer to her husband.”
As for how her husband George H.W. Bush is doing, Garth commented, “Doctors at Houston Methodist Hospital continue to be encouraged by President Bush's improving health.”
In a news conference on Monday, doctors at the hospital revealed that the former POTUS could be released on Friday or over the weekend. The 92-year-old has been moved from the ICU to regular care.
