Sean Hannity Speaks on Bill O’Reilly’s Future at Fox News
The who's who of media gathered to celebrate The Hollywood Reporter's 35 Most Powerful People in Media list.
Last night, “Extra's” AJ Calloway caught up with all of the media darlings, including Fox News star Sean Hannity. Sean did not speak directly to sexual harassment allegations surrounding fellow anchor Bill O'Reilly, but did comment on Bill's future. Though some predict O'Reilly's days could be numbered on “O'Reilly Factor,” Sean doesn't expect anything to change at Fox News, saying, “Not at all, none coming, I don't see any coming.”
One person he is happy to talk about is his good friend and the leader of the free world, President Trump. Sean raved, “He has a checklist, the Donald Trump checklist, and he's checking off every item, every promise he made.”
AJ also spoke with Megyn Kelly, who made her first public appearance since signing with NBC. Kelly told AJ she was “ready to get back to work” since she was tired of looking at her refrigerator.
When AJ asked about the prospects of her interviewing Vladimir Putin, she smiled and said, “Funny… good try.”
Savannah Guthrie shared about her new colleague, "She starts soon, and I just was talking to her and she's like, 'I'm not really good at sitting around at home,' so she's really excited to come to work and we're totally psyched to have her, and she's gonna be great. And I think her Sunday show starts this summer, and then the show in the morning starts in the fall."
Of the rumors that Megyn could be interviewing Putin, Savannah said, "That would be an awesome get for NBC, so I would be 1,000 percent supportive.”
Other honorees on the THR list included Charlie Rose, Lester Holt, Don Lemon, and Anna Wintour.
