Swim God Michael Phelps Wins Gold! Meet the Son Who Inspired His Comeback
Last night, Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps made America proud when he won his 19th gold medal.
Phelps helped his teammates win gold during the 400m freestyle relay, beating out the French. It was a special win for Phelps since his fiancée Nicole Johnson and their son Boomer were on hand to root for him from the stands.
Even though Boomer is only 3 months old, he already has an Instagram. An adorable new pic of Boomer with his mom is captioned, "Thanks for sharing your gold medal with me dad!!! I love you and can't wait til I get to see you.”'

Boomer captured many fans' attention at the Olympics, but Michael's bruised body was also grabbing some headlines. As for how Michael got those bruises, cupping is the culprit. Cupping causes bruising since it pulls the skin from the body with the help of small glass cups. It is said to keep muscles loose and relaxed.
Michael isn't the only one to use cupping; gymnast Alex Naddour has also opened up on the technique, telling USA Today, “That's been the secret that I have had through this year that keeps me healthy. It's been better than any money I've spent on anything else.”
Before he won gold in Rio, Michael, 31, hinted he was ready to walk away from the sport that made him famous. He told “Extra” in 2012, “I always told myself, 'I'll never swim past 30.' I just don't want to be that guy, like, 'Man, he's still going.'” He added about possibly transitioning into Hollywood, "I'm a terrible actor. I swim — that's all I do."
