Report: Kim Richards Charged Following April Intoxication Arrest
Reality TV star Kim Richards has been officially charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest and battery on a police officer stemming from her April 16th arrest at the Beverly Hills Hotel, according to documents filed by the Los Angeles Superior Courts.
If found guilty on all charges, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star could spend nearly three years in prison.
During a recent sit-down with Dr. Phil, Richards didn't hold back, opening up about her ongoing battle with alcoholism, including the night of her arrest. She admitted to drinking a glass of vodka at daughter Brooke's house before heading to the Beverly Hills Hotel. She explained, "I was scared, and I was intoxicated, so everything's magnified. I poured one drink, but maybe it was bigger than I thought."
When asked about allegations that she kicked an officer, she said, "Maybe I did kick him. I don't know.”
Not long after the interview, Richards checked into a rehab facility in Malibu.
