Craig Strickland Still Missing After Friend Found Dead

Country singer Craig Strickland is missing after a hunting trip over the weekend.

On Saturday, Strickland and his friend Chase Morland headed out on a hunting trip in Oklahoma. Morland wrote an eerie tweet: "In case we don't come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma. #IntoTheStorm.”

On Sunday, after their families didn't hear from them, the men were reported missing. The next day, Morland was found dead. Strickland's band Backroad Anthem wrote on Facebook after the news was made public, "Everyone please say special prayers for the family of Chase Morland. They were very close friends and it is such a heartbreaking loss. Randy Strickland (Craig's father) has informed us Craig has not been found. Please keep praying for his safety.”

That same day, search parties were issued in an attempt to find Strickland, but the search was called off for the night and will continue today. The family shared on Facebook, "A friend gave me these words! We are trying to think of a scenario where he is still alive. Hoping against the odds. We can't even stand to think about it. We are devastated. Only God & time can put us back together. Love all! From Craig's father Randy Strickland. We love you Randy, Helen, Joanne, and family and we are all believing in a miracle!”
